Cilgerran Wildlife Centre to Cigerran walk, 4 miles return.

Park at the Cilgerran Wildlife Centre pay and display car park costing £3.

Follow the signs to the centre a large glass structure, an information centre, shop, café & toilets.

From here follow the path signed down to the River Teifi viewpoint on the way passing the Heritage Canoe building and weather station.

At the view point pass through the gate heading right up stream to the Teifi River gorge.

The path passes through woodland and on your right you will see the remains of slate quarries once an important industry here. The path is steep and narrow in places as it climbs up the gorge cliffs.  You will catch views of the river below.

The path is signed and follow directions to Cilgerran.

In Cilgerran, there is a castle down a side street, the Castle kitchen restaurant/tea room and a choice of 2 pubs, both listed buildings.  We had a drink and snack in The Cardiff Arms.

The castle commands wonderful views of the gorge and the church has an Oghan stone see links.

Returning follow the road down past the castle to the church, bear right and then take the way marked path on your right down to the stream across the bridge and back up the other side to the lane.

Go straight ahead along another way marked path, through meadows with stunning views.

Where the path divides go through the gate through beautiful woodland back to the West Wales Wildlife Centre.
